How did you get so good at editing screencaps? I always want to make HP icons, but I just have no skill with Photoshop or following tutorials.
I’ve just spent a long time playing around with Photoshop. I started with GIMP a few years ago, and when I got Photoshop I got more into colorings and such. It just takes some time and figuring out stuff on your own.

I just read A Thousand Beautiful Things today, and I had been meaning to for ages. I really love loads of the pre-DH release fic, like Beautiful World, and that one was written before OOTP came out. I have to say, also try and find the Saving Connor chronicles? - http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2580283/1/Saving_Connor. The guy re-wrote the entire 7 stories completely AU. Over a million words for all the stories, and he released a chapter a day for each story. Ah. Its really gorey and written so beautifully. HP for adults!

You need to trust me on this, it gets better. I can’t say it will get better in approximately 485.63 hours, because it doesn’t work that way, but it does get better. 

Laugh (or cry) watching those movies you watched together, listen to those songs you both loved, dance down the streets you used to roam - and punch the people who say “it’s better to have loved and lost blah blah” right in their lying fucking mouths, because that’s shit you don’t need to hear right now. 

Surround yourself with your friends and family, start dancing, update your blog more. It’s the little things that keep you distracted, then soon enough - you don’t need distracting anymore.
